[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very powerful machine. Bought this for my son for college and he loves it. Quick response to all tasks that you perform with it. Very nice display. Ergonomics are good. No real complaints.

I love my new P1 Gen 7 for all of the neat features and the speed, but I truly miss the number pad on this machine. The keyboard seems to be much better than my previous ThinkPad and the display is awesome! Everything I wanted with Raid 1, fingerprint reader, and the OLED touch Screen. I would have returned this machine for a laptop with a number pad, but it was impossible to build/get a comparable machine with one. I'm trying to get used to not having it. If you don't mind not having one, it's a 5 star machine!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far the computer is doing great. It is fast and comfortable. Although, the fan does get a bit loud when it is under load.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a college student, I was searching for good laptops to use as I’m going into a technology field. This one caught my eye and it does wonderfully with everything I throw at it. I haven’t even optimized it yet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Laptop: ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 Intel (16″) Mobile Workstation.
After two months using this workstation laptop, the performance has been solid overall. However, I've encountered two main issues.
After two months using this workstation laptop, the performance has been solid overall. However, I've encountered two main issues.
Overheating during light use: Today, while just browsing and listening to a YouTube podcast for about 2 hours (no coding or gaming), the laptop got noticeably hotter than I'd expect for such basic tasks. The temperature felt unusually high.
Loud fans initially: When I first got the laptop, the fans were often excessively loud even during normal, non-heavy tasks like browsing or document work. This happened frequently during the initial setup period.
Aside from these thermal and fan concerns, the laptop performs well and meets my expectations. I'm happy with its core performance. If not for these specific issues, I would have rated it 4 stars.
