[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently own SEVERAL Hamilton Beach slow cookers, but this one is definitely in my top 2. It is only the 2nd that i owned with a timer that auto switches to warm and that is definitely my favorite feature. I made a 3lb beef brisket for 8 hours on low. I was able to cook overnight without being concerned that it would over cook. I put in my meat vegetables beef broth and birria bomb and by the next morning we had breakfast birria. My only recommendation would be adding thw ability to clamp and seal the lid down. That would definitely make this product my number one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its easy to set up and use. About once every other week I put a big roast in a slow cooker to make burritos to put in the freezer. It held the big chunk of meat that I threw in it and the programming made it so much easier than checking it every few hours. It was pretty easy to clean afterwards as well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker would make a great wedding gift as well as a house warming gift for someone starting out in their first house or apartment. It’s designed well and simple to use. Note: (Read instruction manual first before using). I tried using this slow cooker first and had trouble figuring out how to change the temperatures, low/med/high. Also, I had difficulty setting the timer, understanding how it works. After reading the manual, the control panel was simple to use.
I wasn’t sure on how to describe the Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker, for many people already know the basics of a slow cooker. For the people not sure you have usually three main parts, the base which also is the heating element and has the control panel on the front. This particular slow cooker has a well-made base, along with a nicely designed control panel incorporated on the front of the base. Next you have what is called a removable crock (tub like looking design) that is inserted into the base and in which your ingredients are added and cooked. This 6-quart crock is fairly heavy and can hold large quantities of whatever ingredients you’re going to cook. My first attempt at using the Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker was with a 11-pound spiral ham. Also, I used a slow cooker liner which helps with mess cleanup in this particular case. The last main part of the slow cooker is the lid, which is made of glass and fits nicely against the slow cooker crock. Be careful removing the lid after cooking for a while, steam may be released. That’s the three main parts of Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker as well as most others slow cookers.
As I said a cooked a 11-pound spiral ham, bone in. Needless to say, the lid wouldn’t fit due to the fact that the ham stuck out of the crock about 4 to 5 inches above the slow cooker. So, we used tin-foil to enclose the ham. This is where I had to stop and read the manual, to help me set the temperature and the timer. The buttons have nice bluest colored bright lights showing what control was set. I cooked the ham for 8 hours at low, and you could see the timer moving down every two hours. The manual says that when the programmable timer reaches your set time, it will automatically go to the warm mode. I didn’t give it time to see if it would do this. When I checked the ham when it was close to being done, the juices were bubbling and the ham was done. I’ m impressed with this slow cooker, the size, design of the control panel, ease of use. At this time, I can’t find anything that I dislike or find fault with, with this slow cooker
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked real good, liked the controls, cleaned up good. Is a very sleek, pretty slow cooker. Looks great sitting on the countertop. The controls are easy to use and heats up fast. Made a homemade veggie soup in it and it was done perfectly and I like the keep warm function. Can have seconds that are hot, too.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am super excited about this crockpot, everything from the style to the functionality. The base of the crockpot is a sharp matte black finish. The control is a touch pad, so no knobs to worry about breaking. My favorite feature is the program feature. Set your hours to cook, it will count down in 2 hour increments and go to warm when done. No overcooking to worry about. My only con with this crockpot was the lid didn't sit right on thr crock and had some gaps around the curves of the base and the lid. Other than that, I highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this slow cooker! I put a 5 lb. roast with onions in the slow cooker before I left for work and came home to a delicious meal. This slow cooker is super easy to use.The heat and time settings are very easy to see. There are 5 time settings and 3 heat settings. It switches to warm when the time is up.It is not a super heavy slow cooker which is good for me.I like that the cord is not too long, perfect for cooking on the kitchen island.Clean up was super easy, too. Make no mistake,You need this!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I unboxed my Hamilton Beach 6 Quart Programmable Slow Cooker and tested it with northern white beans the very next day. The programmable timer nailed precise cook times, yielding creamy, tender beans. The durable ceramic stoneware sits in a lightweight outer shell for easy handling and cleaning. It doesn’t have a latch-able lid, but I didn’t experienced any spills. A reliable, value-packed kitchen workhorse. That I will use often.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who enjoys a good meal that allows me to set it and forget it, i have enjoyed using this slow cooker. It’s a nice size and can fit a good amount of food inside so you can make large batches for meal prepping. The control panel on the front is nice and responsive to touch when selecting the cooking time and temperature. You have three temperature options and several cooking times to choose from with the longest time being around 10 hours. Nice glass lid and handles on the side tha allow easy moving of the slow cooker. It does get hot on the outside like all other slow cookers I’ve used, so be mindful of that especially with small children. Overall, it’s a good product and I look forward using it for many years to come.
