Connectivity Issue

We’ve used Roku for a very long time, decided to upgrade to this as previous version’s remote physically broke (not Roku’s fault). We set this up and the remote had issues connecting to control tv as well. Eventually got it working, but then the regular buttons stopped working, had to completely reset the system. Was working for awhile, but randomly stopped working again. Spent a lot of time troubleshooting it to work without resetting it. Wish there was a better way to deal with reconnecting the remotes on the newer models (no connect button physically on remote/no reset option in menu). The whole point of getting a newer model was to not have remote issues…
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Much better than Apple TV

We had an old Roku for near 10 years but we had to replace it with an Apple TV since the old Roku device was too slow, could not upgrade firmware, and could not support Apple TV+. But recently I just realized the new Roku Streaming Stick has been out for a while and it does support Apple TV+. Meanwhile I do need a smaller streaming device for traveling to use, so I gave it a try. I thought even it’s not perfect but it won’t hurt for its much lower price.
But surprisingly this Roku Stick is so portable, so tiny, so powerful and so simple to setup. And its remote is so easy to operate. My wife and I prefer to watch our Spectrum cable TV channels through the streaming service so we can just use ONE remote to switch from cable TV app to Apple TV+ app, Netflix app, Amazon Prime app, YouTube app and other apps. My wife has light dementia and she is always confused by the Apple TV remote and forgot where the right, left, and exit buttons are. But when we switched to the new Roku stick, she has no trouble to find all the buttons on the Roku remote. Now we are not just use this Roku stick during our traveling in the hotel, in the resort and especially on the cruise in our stateroom, but also we use it at home to replace the Apple TV. It’s a perfect streaming device.

Zero Buffering and Fast!

We purchased this new stick primarily for the remote. We needed an extra remote and the discounted price made it a no-brainer to buy both. We don't have a 4K TV, but this was a great upgrade regardless!

Love the new volume mute power on and off feature to make it perfect for me if it had headset … so I won’t bother my grandbaby while I watch tv at night .. other than that it’s close to perfect

Upgrading all my smart TV's to ROKU's

I was tired of not being able to get all of the streaming services l wanted on my non-ROKU smart TV, so decided to upgrade. I was so impressed by the speed that the new stick works, that l have ordered another one to replace an older ROKU model.

Great interface

I have had Rokus for over 10 years and they keep getting better and better. The interface is intuitive and user friendly. In addition to the monthly streaming subscriptions the various Roku channels included are a great bonus.
