We get our local news channels and Son much more. We do not need to keep an expensive subscription to cable cause of Roku. Wish I would've bought a long time ago.

I had a Roku sound bar prior to purchasing a new TV so I was familiar with using Roku to stream content and I was happy with the service. When I purchased the new TV the salesman recommended a Roku Streaming Stick. He said it would enhance my reception even though it was a "smart" TV and could stream into itself. So I purchased the Stick and it works fine, I get all my streaming services clearly. But now I need two remote controls: one for the TV and one for Roku.

Easy to install…self learning remote…less than 10 minutes everything was running properly…great choice of apps to download…direct attach to HDMI…invisible…TV and Remote working perfectly…very stable Wifi Connection!

These little Roku stick works great in my house I have them on many of my tv's.
You do not need a cable hook up and pretty much you could go with out cable but I am old school so I have both.
