Easy to use

Excellent interface. Voice control is great. Also bought one for my 87 year old mom who has trouble searching youtube. With the voice control it's perfect for her, she is not tech savvy in any way.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It streaming is seamless. Set up is easy. Very simple to use. We have canceled our cable subscription. Ruko covers all we need at less than half the cost of cable
I recommend this 100 percent

Allowed me to watch Disney plus on my older LCD TV

I had no way of accessing Disney plus on my older model LCD TV until a friend suggested the ROKU Stick. Reading about it, I learnt that I could access it so, went to purchase and voila! Problem solved!

Didn't know about Roku. Was going for the competitors' products. The Roku rep in store explained the Roku advantages for my usage... Does the streaming job for a fraction of the price of the competition. Will buy a second unit for my country house.

It is much faster to access netflix, youtube, amazon prime etc...
Love the remote voice control search.
easy to install, even on an older tv with 2 hdmi ports. We did need to buy an hdmi splitter to connect our soundbar, dvd & satellite reciever which was no problem once we knew there was such a device!!

Excellent alternative to Chromecast

I have a terrific 12 year old TV that has an extremely good picture except the so called Smart tv capabilities no longer work. Netflix is an out dated version and cannot up updated and other more recent apps are simply not available (Plex, Spotify). I have been using a Chromecast but I find having to drag out my phone or a tablet and finding the show I want and then casting it less than satisfactory although the Chromecast is future proof because the apps run on my tablet or phone. I prefer the Roku because I find it easier selecting media from Netflix or Plex or other apps easier using the Roku remote and the TV. I also have a feeling that the picture quality is better but that might be just my imagination. The bonus is that I have discovered Roku's Live TV and can watch classical concerts on Vivaldi or old movies albeit with commercials. Sometimes you just feel like an old Clint Eastwood western and can put up with a few commercials (especially when you figure out how to bypass them).
I still use the Chromecast for CBC Gem which is unavailable on Roku and for screen sharing for special situations but the Roku is my go to.
