Accelerates well up to that 20 mph

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It came with the majority of the bike pre built in the shipping box it included tools like wrench and a single Allen key but it could have done with an Allen key set as several points were in need of tightening down. The tires arrive mostly deflated which helps reduce shifting in the box so you will need a pump handy to fill them. The seat is noce and wide keeping the battery from weather. The controller screen needed tightening and a few tips is hold the plus button for a bit and the front head light and rear taillight. Pushing down let's you go into the menu and change your preferences if you need miles versus kilometers ect thats where you can change the program the front light is really bright and is nice to have from a saftey aspect. The bike does it's programed 20 mph. The reason o rated it 4 stars is there were a few missing bolts, a missing tire cap. Also the wiring coming up is all on one side if it had been ran differently it would be less likely to get over extended if there were a crash. Also the large seat does cause rubbing on the thighs when pedaling instead of using the electric assit. I really appreciate the thought that goes into making sure it has a light and that headlight is nice and bright and ties into the battery harness. So to recap cable management, missing pieces and a better included tool set would make this perfect. Speaking of perfect using throttle vigorously and riding in country roads and mountain trails this bike handles well and is a nice ride from the shock setup.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super Easy to assemble. Automatic, so it’s easy and fun to ride. This brand is a recognized brand for a reason, it’s great quality. Feels durable, the tires are thick. First time we road it for like two hours and battery life was not even half way. And as he says in the video, the brakes are pretty good.

The Hurricane 20 E bike is a fun experience for the whole family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Hurricane 20 E bike for free in exchange for my honest review. My whole family loves this bike. It’s perfect for both adults and teenagers. The E bike comes in a steel blue color that is appealing to all riders. It also has 20 inch tires and a comfortable banana seat. The Hurricane 20 E bike fits up to 300 pounds. My husband and I rode together a few times. Even with around 280 pounds the bike still went 20 MPH without struggling. To accelerate you can use the throttle or pedal assist which comes in levels 1, 2 and 3. For beginners, be mindful of pedaling as you go around a turn because pedal assist will kick in automatically causing you to accelerate. The bike also has a feature called walk assist. If you hold the minus (-) button down it allows you to walk the bike at a slow speed. This feature is perfect for turning the bike around in narrow spaces or going up and down a hill. The Hurricane 20 E bike has a digital display screen that shows the battery level, speed, pedal assist levels, and current mileage driven. The bike comes with both front and rear disc brakes. It even has a front headlight and rear taillight which are both extremely bright for nighttime driving. The bike comes with a key that plugs into the battery to start. The battery is located under the seat and can be removed to be charged or remain attached. I was able to ride about 20 miles using mostly the throttle before it needed to be charged. Overall the experience has been a lot of fun, and we are currently looking into purchasing additional e bikes for the family.

Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 13 year old absolutely loves this bike! It’s a comfortable ride. It’s a heavy, well made bike. I love that it has a headlight and brake light, great for when new rides it at night. It goes 20mph, which is a perfect speed for him and up to 40 miles to a charge. Only issue I had with the bike is that the headlight did not work and one of the tires popped. Not sure if that was a defect or if he rode over something.

An amazing experience that I hope will be yours too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am tremendously impressed with the Schwinn Hurricane 20 E-Bike - it’s been an unexpected and truly amazing experience!
I’m a child of the 80s and my first bike was a red and gold Schwinn with a banana seat. I loved that bike and put more miles on it than some people drive. It was a defining component of my childhood and my first taste of independence.
Life moves in unexpected circles and my acquisition of the Hurricane has begun to pen a new chapter in my Schwinn journey log. This bike is a perfect fit for an adult and the familiar banana seat is generous and comfortable, whether actively pedaling or letting the motor do the work. The fat tires provide a sure-footed grip while also providing some nice cushion from the road’s imperfections. For me (5’10, 175 lbs) the motor takes me to 20mph, which I consider to be a nice clip but yet still very safe. Controls are simple and intuitive (pedals and a grip-throttle crank) and the brakes are the best I have experienced even across high end mountain bikes. No more searching for the perfect gear the match my pace, this is a futuristic evolution to my childhood Schwinn equipped with an efficient display to provide all of the insights and controls you could want - battery power, assist level, odometer, speed, etc. The headlight is especially awesome and well-designed with a substantial forward flood complimented by a nice solid cutoff line. The rear light is also great and keeps me noticed after sunset.
I have a couple cars and love driving, but this bike has renewed my passion for hopping on and running a quick impulse trip of a couple miles to the grocery store, ice cream shop, convenience store, or just nowhere in particular. Sure it’s a little slower than a car, but the helpings of nostalgia and freedom as I cut through the wind is such a wonderful experience and disconnection from the siren call of my cell phone! I am reminded of how we used to be present for the experience and not yet distracted by screens and notifications. Thanks to Schwinn, and seriously no exaggerations, the Hurricane has been a life changing experience.
