Like all the Skil tools i have it works very well. I havent used it long enough to determine longevity but if its anything like the chIain saw i'm sure it will take a beating and keep on ticking.

I recently received the hedge trimmer as a gift. I have used it twice and it worked very well. I have about 7 different shrubs/bushes I trimmed. The battery barely lowered its level. The trimmer will cut through thicker branches with ease. This is my third Skil devise(blower and grass trimmer) and all are great. I do wish there was a cordless vacuum/mulcher available to pick up the clippings.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice battery usage. Takes care of what I cannot get to w the lawn mower in the garden. Trimming material may be difficult to change when I need to but otherwise good.

Purchased hedge trimmer based upon customer reviews and not disappointed. Weight, ease of use and ships assembled important to my decision. I am elderly and able to handle fine. Not light weight like a smaller trimmer, though light enough for me to use for 45 minutes. I hold tool with both hands. Battery lasted entire time with at least 30 minutes remaining. This first use consisted of shrubbery like boxwoods which it cut through like butter. Next projects consist of somewhat denser, thicker shrubs and will update if tool not up task. If register tool, warranty extended from 3 years to 5.
