It used to be great

At first I thought I got a bad bag of Match Light, but Three bags of Non Lighting charcoal? It looks like the quality has gone downhill. I finnaly used newspaper doused in vegetable oil to get it to light. I'll try the store brand next time.

Chemical taste on burgers..

Didn't use lighter fluid with these so that's not the issue. But we cooked burgers using these today and had to throw out all the food due to a very strong chemical taste in the food, like what I would imagine lighter fluid might taste like (smelled the same). The whole grill smelled disgusting from these. Never again!!

Would not Light

I used 5 boxes of matches and a whole news paper it would not light, everytime the flame touched the charcoal it literally went out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Impossible to light!

Just bought a new bag of Catchlight because I was concerned that the bag from last year would be too old. Went through an entire box of matches and it wouldn't light. What is wrong with this picture? Pay more for quick-starting charcoal and it doesn't light at all. I see that I'm not the only one having this experience! Very poor product that I will not buy again.

Still can't light

I've been trying for an hour to light the briquettes. Match light is supposed to light instantly every time. Well still not lit and I've gone through a book of matches and burned my finger so much holding a lighter I quit. Dinner ruined, can't light them and we refuse to use lighter fluid that stuff is horrible tasting. Any other suggestions? On how to light something that is supposed to be instant.

Just Ok

I was expecting it to cook longer than it did because I use this charcoal every summer. This time I had to empty out and refill was so time consuming I only cooked hotdogs, sausages, and hamburgers. Normally I cook chicken, steak, and ribs. Maybe it was a bad bag.

First time I have tried and will be the last time.. : ( It says ready in 10 minutes, no matter what we did it would not light... Abousulte garbage
