Great to see the larger screen size being offered. Enjoying the new camera features and looking for any opportunity to or the assistant through its paces
When done loading apps, and everything. I was down to under 30GB of storage. Which when I went to record video in 4K wasnt enough room and started losing videos. I really need the expansion card slot. So I returned it and kept my Note20 Ultra, which I felt shot video almost as good. BUT also has an expansion slot for my 1TB SD Card. It is a good phone for what it is, and for the price it's a great value. Being a Google Phone its not loaded with too much junk. Due to less bloatware ( my biggest pain point with Samsung phones ) the Android12 OS was clear and clean. Overall I really liked what I saw. For me the decision to go with 128GB of storage, and NO expansion was a deal breaker. If I didn't already have a Note20 Ultra I would have probably kept it as it's as good if not better than the S21 series for half the cost. If you do not record a lot of video on your phone or capture a lot of high res pictures, then this it is probably the phone for you.
Excellent phone. Improves on the Pixel 4xl I upgraded from. Some minor things that are changes to the OS that are irritating, but not an issue. My one issue is that the wireless charger is slow when I have the Otterbox Defender Pro on (and I never remove it! Lol), but that's an issue of power from the qi standard and electromagnetic permiability of the case.
The design and feel of the Pixel 6 pro is just gorgeous and well built. Concerning the finger print smudges, that to me is minor for what this device offers - so do not let that be a show stopper for you. You might want to invest in a case thou because it's a slippery phone. The device has been snappy for me since day one and I haven't had any issues thus far. And for the finger print sensor/scanner, it's been working without any lag or being slow (to me anyway). The camera quality with all it's features has been fun to have and has produce some real gorgeous pics. The only gripe I have is I would hope for a better videoing experience. - not terrible but can be better. But seeing what Google can do, I'm sure they will be improving upon such in time. I enjoy the true Android experience of the Pixel 6 pro and I hope that it remains as it should over the years. It's an awesome device and I am looking forward to seeing great things happening with it.
This phone is amazing. Very thin light and sleek. Android 12 has been smooth and without any issues personally. The camera is the real killer app. It's so versatile and powerful. This Pixel 6 Pro has made my switch from iOS a breeze.
Speed and ease of use are excellent. I love the simplicity of the interface and getting Android updates as soon as they are released. The camera adds a lot of post-processing; you can see the unprocessed shot for a brief moment followed by the automatically-enhanced final product. Sometimes I wish it would save both so that I could choose. My main complaint is a display that simply doesn't get very bright. With my last two phones (OnePlus 6T and 7T Pro), I could leave the brightness at about 50% and crank it up when I was using the phone in the sun. With the Pixel 6 Pro, a similar everyday brightness requires 80%, which means it's hard to see in daylight because the maximum brightness is pretty poor. Battery life is good. Download the "Repainter" app to add much better color theming than the standard "Material You" settings allow. Mostly, I'm happy with the phone.
I have been a fan of The Pixel since day 1. I love the 6 Pro and I am SO happy they brought back the pro series. The larger screen and amazing camera paired with the cloud storage and super fast response time of the phone overall... 5 stars hands down!
Overall I am very happy with the purchase of my Google Pixel 6 pro. Having had a Google pixel 3 it was an easy adjustment. Very glad they got rid of the squeeze to get assistant help in the newest pixel. I believe that is why my Pixel 3 actually started coming apart at the seams. Though the size of the phone is great for visuals, it's just a bit big for my hand size. I wouldn't mind the smaller size of the Google Pixel 6 and it would be very helpful if it had a textured surface rather than smooth. I very much wanted to use the phone without a cover but because of the slickness of its hold accented by its size compared to my hand, I will be getting a textured cover. I do enjoy the gestures to go home and back. Though occasionally flipping through pages, I end up going back rather than advancing the page. Simply something I will get used to with time.
