Talk about traditional brown mailing envelopes -- well this one is it. Well made with a metal clasp which I suggest you put a piece of tape over before mailing so it doesn't get caught in one of those new sensitive automatic mailing machines that the Post Office uses and cost them (by that I really mean us) millions of dollars. I have always used this style of envelope to mail my IRS tax forms to the feds. I bet IRS's count of this style of envelope would boggle our minds. With e-filings on the increase this envelope will become an artifact.
They do what a 9x12 manila envelope is designed to do. They open and allow the insertion of content. They close. If you don't lick the flap the brass closure can be used several times. There is not a whole lot one can say about manila envelopes. These envelopes have a price that seems fair for the quality of the product. I live in a high-humidity area and yet the glue on the flaps appears to be stable until used and the envelopes have not stuck to each other. In short: they work and I will buy more when I need more.
