Envelopes are OK. Many more out there with self-sealing flaps. No idea why anyone makes the old lick-and-seal flaps anymore.

Outstanding envelopes!

These envelopes met all expectations. When I got them home I checked the measurements in my home lab. Sometimes these big corporations will fudge on the size but not this time they were a true 9 x 12. In using them I was very pleased as well. If you slide your finger along the short end you'll find a sort of "pouch" in which you can insert papers (as long as they measure less than ~9 x 12). Then they included a "flap" that can fold over the "pouch"; this completely blocks the papers from sliding out very handy for mailing since if the papers fell out the recipient would only receive the envelope. An integral clasp is included pre-attached to the envelope. You simply grip the two metal ends of the clasp with the thumb and forefinger and squeeze until the ends come together; the "flap" has a pre-cut hole into which the two metal ends fit. No need to punch your own hole. Fold the "flap" down guiding the hole over the metal ends. Once the ends are through push them back down flush with the "flap". The sturdy aluminium is now securing the flap which prevents your papers from falling out of the envelope. For yet more security on the side of the "flap" that touches the envelope there is a kind of adhesive. Don't worry it's not sticky until YOU want it to be! All you need to do is moisten the adhesive and it becomes tacky. (Don't lick too many consecutively it could prove toxic) Then you press the "flap" down against the envelope and voila your papers are super-sealed inside. I chose to use both the clasp and the adhesive and then I additionally used strong tape. All in all these 9 x 12 Brown Kraft Clasp Envelopes truly satisfied the standards of their design. Purchase with confidence.

I open and closed the "zip" folder twice then the zip part broke. This is the second time I purchased this product and experienced the same result. I won't be buying it a third time.
