[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Design of the pen was as expected. Nothing fancy. The pen writes well. Ink quality was good. I did not notice any smudges when writing and I am a left handed writer. The ink came out smooth without any issues.

Smooth Writing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using gel pens since they first appeared on the market and have tried many. The Staples ProGel Pen is one of the better gel pens I have used. I don't write a lot but when I do I like a pen that is smooth doesn't leave ink blots on the paper and is easy to handle. I find as I get older comfort becomes a large part of my day to day and the Staples ProGel Pen hits all the marks. I also really like that it is retractable. I have found that caps seem to get lost and pens tend to leak but with a retractable I do not need to worry. I would recommend this brand for anyone who writes all the time or just occasionally like me.

Fantastic Gel Pen

I am very particular about the pens I use and I would add this to the very short list of pens I buy again and again. It writes very smoothly with a steady flow of ink. Another major plus for me as I am left-handed is that the ink doesn't smear so my writing looks much clearer.

Staples ProGel Pens (bold 1.0 mm blue) offer smooth writing bold ink saturation quick drying ink to eliminate smudging/smearing and excellent readability for writing. I think the ergo grip is comfortable the ink really is dependably smear/smudge proof (I ran a finger directly over my writing using my free hand to see if it would smudge and there was nothing). I like these pens and would definitely recommend trying them.

Great for journaling

They write so smooth they don’t smear (I even tried swiping with my finger immediately after writing and no smudge!) or leak. I will use these every day until they run out of ink!

Excellent gel pen

I work in an office where I do a lot of writing and the pen’s firm 3-sided textured grip makes using it not only more comfortable it also makes it easier to write for longer periods of time. The pen glides and propels me smoothly across the page no matter how much pressure I write with (I tend to be heavy-handed). I noticed the ink may smudge immediately after writing but will be perfectly dry after 1-2 seconds which is much faster than I’ve experienced with other gel pens. And the spring provides a sturdy satisfying “click”. The grip and ease of writing which I attribute to the quality of ink and overall design makes this a very enjoyable and effective writing instrument.

These are the perfect ink pens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am obsessed with these ProGel Ink Pens from Staples. They literally glide across the paper and make my handwriting look so fancy and clean. Whenever I am stuck using another pen I cringe now. There is just something about these. The grip for my fingers feels like a high end pen that you spend a fortune on. The pens each have a wax drop plug on the tip to prevent them from drying out before you get to use them. As soon as I take the plug off the pens write flawlessly and there is no need to scribble to get them to produce ink. It is also worth noting that the gel ink is quick drying and has absolutely zero smudge to it. I’m hooked on these and will use them in my office from not on.
