Turning up the volume and music with more bass will reduce the playtime, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. Please try charging your speaker to 100%, then play music at a low volume and without bass boosted. If the speaker lasts close to 12 hours, the battery is working fine. At background listening levels, you’ll get the maximum battery time, but as you increase volume or boost bass, playtime decreases—just like a phone battery drains faster with a brighter screen. Music with more bass also shortens battery life. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Try to charge the battery to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine.
