JBL Flip 5 vs the flip 6

The sound quality is good but the battery life sucks the JBL flip 6 versus the flip 5 the flip 5 battery life last a lot longer than the flip 6 so I think the JBL flip 5 is better because of the battery life

Useless warranty

The warranty is useless me and my friend bought a JBL flip 6 since we thought it was the most durable speaker out there we were riding our bikes and his speaker falls out of his backpack the bass radiator popps off we tried to look for it but we can't find it we tried warranty but they said the don't cover accidentally damage or damage on a speaker .

I upgraded from my Flip 4 after years of loving it!
Giving the 4 to a friend!
It does have the awesome clear sound! Can be loud if you want it! I do have it at a lower volume than the Flip 4! Probably due to it's clarity!
I even got the gray & not the black as i normally buy! It's is a cool color!
I would give this a 5 BUT for a couple things!
- No microphone! Which is partialy ok, bcuz i hardly used that feature but for when i needed it!
- It doesn't remember devices! With my Flip 4 I could go from my phone to laptop (and vice-versa) without touching anything! With the 6; I have to reconnect each device each time! This IS a M AJOR negative! It is absurd that JBL took that feature away!! I have no idea why they would do that!! It really IS a pain to do it!!! Improve feature & NEVER take away them!!!
Overall - it IS an awesome speaker! The sound is crystal clear! and can be loud if you want it!
I haven't tested the distance issue as I don't have a need to!
The new logo is cool! I really like it! The size is a little larger than the 4 but still on the smaller size, that I like!
My advice - if you can live with the differences - don't hesitate & get it!

Sound quality is good. Doesn't shut off even after the reboot "fix.". I wouldn't buy again.

We're here to help with your JBL Flip 6. Please try to power cycle the speaker by pressing and holding the power button for 30 seconds while the speaker is not connected to the charger. If you perform a reset, please make sure to remove or forget the speaker from your device's Bluetooth list to be able to pair again. After about 90 days of use I am still estatic about this wonderful sounding speaker. Sounds way more natural than those from that brand that rhymes with nose. Pretty decent low end at low volume without sounding muddy or drowning out the mids and highs. It's a mono speaker so don't expect sound stage. Coupled with a second one, using the app can get you stereo, but for background music this one gets the job done very well.
Battery holds up well too.
