Great at first, disappointing over time

I’ve been using this speaker for about a year. At first, I was absolutely thrilled with the quality and value and I even bought one for someone as a gift. Unfortunately, this product does not seem made to last. Both my speaker and the gifted speaker I bought, after time, has begun to slowly deteriorate in its functionality. It’s now almost completely useless with the audio cutting out and skipping frequently. I’d assume it was just my specific unit, but the evidence of the gifted one definitely suggests that this is just the quality of the product in general.
Overall, very disappointing. We were so thrilled with the product before it began to stop working. I was even prepared to buy other JBL products and now I don’t believe they are worth it.

Yes I'm very pleased with the product it looks magnificent and I am looking forward to using it I own Four or five of the clip fives the sound is awesome and I would definitely recommend to family and friends

Good sound for such a small device. Unfortunately it doesn't stand, just lie flat and hang by the clip.

Speaker periodic shut down.

I bought the clip about 1 month ago. Everything works great except the clip shuts off after 30 minutes. I factory reset and it works for about a day then shuts off every 30 minutes again. I have updated to current version.

Horrible product

Bought this speaker at the airport. Worked one time and now refuses to stay on for more than three seconds. DO NOT BUY THIS SPEAKER IF YOU DONT WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY.

We're sorry to hear about that. Our JBL Clip 5 has a published playtime of up to 12 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the speaker to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support for further assistance.
