It does the basic for writing notes. Because of the spirals it lays flat can be turned inside out and these points make it a good option for school work home journaling and quick capturing of thoughts. Thirty-five cents is the best price to pay for these and since they do not go out of style stock up for activities ahead.

I have purchased many Staples brand products over name brand names and this one too is of the same quality as the name brand for a much better price. I highly recommend these.
