I love these notebooks because my second graders can use them all year for the writing journals! The covers are sturdy and no spiral binding to get all tangled and messed up!! Great deal!!!!

The great colors make them appealing and easy for students to recognize in a class set. The wide rule is age appropriate for my fourth grade students' printing style.

The Staples Composition Notebook wide ruled 9-3/4 x 7-1/2 notebook in blue is a back to school staple! The composition book I have ordered through the school is not the same quality. The Staples brand opens completely rather than having to force other brands. The corners are also more squared which gives the notebook a larger feel than other brands. The color choices are also great when students have multiple subjects and need to have different color choices to other than black.

Makes the perfect inexpensive journal

I buy composition notebooks when they are on sale because they make great journals. I decorate them with ribbon duct tape buttons and stickers and use them for everything. I made one for a friend of mine when she was in the hospital and seeing lots and lots of doctors. She used it to keep track of appointments and directions that they gave her. I made another one to use as a reading journal in which I keep track of books I've read making notes and writing reviews. I have others in reserve for when I need a little something to give a friend.
