This product is absolutely wonderful. I am a classroom teacher and have used this product before to have my students write during writers workshop and math. It is durable and easy to handle. The thought of having their own composition book brings joy to my students faces because it is theirs and they can write anything they feel as pertained to the lesson. Using these composition books have helped me get to know my students because it's something about a personal book that makes them open up. The size and choice of colors is wonderful for different subjects. Thank you!!

On a budget??? Who isn't these days when you consider the LONG lists each of your students needs for back to school items!!!! Cheer up! Staples is here to the rescue with the Best price on Staples Composition Books Wide Rule in Assorted Colors. You can choose between Blue Green Red and Purple. As an experienced Co-CEO of a large to mid-sized American family I would Highly recommend one of each of those colors since that is what your student's teachers expect!!!!! As a bonus Staples also has the College Ruled identical Composition books in the Same location so that none of your high school students get jealous!!!! What a perk!!!! As the accountant husband and CFO of your family might logically point out "Why should we buy New ones when last year's Notebook(s) had only one used page and that was a picture of Mickey Mouse? The answer to that is completely logical. If you want to live in Glenview your kids deserve every chance to fit in and not be bullied. You can still use the Old perfectly good hardly used notebooks for your personal things to do lists And send your kids off to a new school year in style with the newest and very best!!!! Who knows? Maybe one year they will reward your kindness by Actually using their notebooks and taking notes instead of drawing mouthwatering pictures of Greek Islands with captions of "Wish I were there." FEEL LIKE A WRITER

This little old fashioned marble notebook has certainly withstood the test of time. I remember as a student more than 60 years ago using mine to write stories and keep journal entries of books I read. Even Bruce Springsteen writes his ideas for songs and in notebooks. Well todays students are no less involved. In order to meet the NYS ELA Core standards in writing every child in our class has their " writers journal" notebook. They start by brainstorming ideas to "plant a seed" of an idea. Then they go through all the steps every great writer uses from drafting a story thesis or essay through writing the final product. With the wide ruling spaces you can see notes and pen marks where they have peer conferenced with classmates to improve ideas. Yes these good old fashioned marble notebooks are the height of "technology" for our young writers today.

composition book..many uses

I find so many uses for these simple composition books. Children love to draw in them...an art journal. Grocery lists journaling note taking Bible Study "to do"lists...Now they come in multi colors for you to color coordinate your subjects. These composition books are a great quality for the price. When I find them on sale I buy a bunch so that I have them on sale so that I have them on hand. Keep one in the car for mileage or a quick note. They store well as they close perfectly flat. Write on the binder so that on a book shelf you know what is in them.

I only use composition books for my interactive notebooks in my high school German classes so I buy about 120 of them every summer. Spiral bounds fall apart and composition notebooks don't as long as no one pulls the thread. The students get accustomed to the wide rule and we can tape things to the pages as well as the front and back covers. In addition I give them stickers cards clip art etc. to decorate the cover with. We use clear packing tape to give the decorated notebooks a finished look. I am so glad that Staples had these on sale!

Great resource for student in primary grades. Variety of colors help with organization. Lots available and you can't beat the price. Customer service was great and I was able to get the amount I needed

These seemed like a great deal (50 cents each). I will be very unhappy if the price is lower next week! Once again having to write more that 400 characters seems like a waste of time for the writer as well as the readers. There should be 5 bonus community points for just writing a comment. What are community points used for anyway? I like these composition books for my students. We use them for math science and writing - language arts. I like the variety of colors. You can use a different color for each subject.
