These are good journals for my class. The pages don't tear out. They last all year long. The quality is good.

I love the color selection of these composition books especially for my daughter who likes colorful items. Staples had these plentifully available and in multiple colors. We purchased them for $.50/piece. Great deal!

Not the Composition book you remember
on August 14, 2014

Be aware that these don't have the classic stiff cardboard covers you may remember from the composition books of your youth if that's what you're expecting from the "look" of them. The covers are instead a thin flexible polymer (you can actually roll these notebooks lengthwise). That said plusses are covers are lighter more durable/tearproof than typical spiral notebook thin cardboard cover and they come in a bunch of fun colors besides black (red purple etc) When on sale (e.g. back-to-school flyer) price is great value. But if you're paying full regular price not so much.

I ordered 12 assorted color composition books as shown in the illustration.. I received 12 Red composition books. Not what I would call an assortment.
