Flimsier than the old days but the best you can get now

Everybody of a certain age remembers the marrble covered composition books we used to get. Hard cardboard covers that could stand up to the abuse of being schlepped around school and sewn in paper that wouldn't come out if your life depended on it. Well those things are gone. These notebooks are fine. The paper is fine. The covers are floppy and useless but the fact of the matter is that nobody seems to make those hard cardboard covered notebooks anymore. So you take what you can get.

Best for journal writing

I love these sturdy humble notebooks. I have been using them for years for journal writing -- any kind of spontaneous writing - and I hope to keep using them for years to come.

Sheaths unwritten

While paper of more substantial heft covers of greater character and bindings more intriguing doth exist (hence a slight decrease from a maximum star rating) the promise and potential (and treasure) of countless pages unwritten and available cannot garner fewer than four. (The yoke of collegiate rule is self imposed and therefore factors not into the celestial stamp applied ;) ).

Have recurring info you need to keep track of? Put it in a notebook and all the info will be easy to access. No little slips if paper to lose.
