The notebook didn't last a week in my back pocket. The binding doesn't hold as well as a spiral notebook or a Memoranda pad which has a sewn binding. Composition Notebooks of the past had hard covers and the binding was sewn. The front cover pulled off the binding first and then pages began falling off. I would reluctantly purchase this composition notebook again and never place it in a back pants pocket. I don't understand the other reviews.

I was looking for a small notebook for keeping my diary. I needed one that did not have glued in pages. This is a nice size but it doesn't have sewn in pages and a few of the juicy details in my diary may fallen out. So its a no from me for my personal use. I will keep them though for maybe shopping lists that you don't want to keep forever. If you order these make sure you get the ones with the sewn in pages.

A composition notebook that truly knows it's task. If a notebook could have self awareness this one would have it. Determined a pleasure to have in class. Allows me to turn the pages with ease. Despite it's small appearance TRU RED Composition Notebook has a big heart. Cherry red color is aesthetically pleasing to the eyes.
