This spiral works great for taking notes in class. It easily folds on itself for space saving in crowded classrooms it's easy to flip through to find a particular point in class notes it has enough pages for a class and light enough to use more than one on those classes with enormous amounts of notes. It comes in a variety of colors that make it easy to have a different color for each different class. The quality of this spiral make it easy to open and close without the annoying catch on the end of the wire.
These are standard 1 subject spiral notebooks with paper covers. Like all paper-covered spiral notebooks the spiral will eventually come undone and paper will get wear to the corners. By spiral notebook standards these are fine. They're not too flimsy and they last me all semester and I carry them around constantly in my bag. My only issue is that after years of using them without any complaints last year's batch of notebooks had printed the ruled lines so dark that they were distracting and making it hard to see what I'd written on the page. And I'm not talking a shade on the dark side but super navy blue. It's a trend I've been noticing with Staples brand composition books too. Just check the pages in the store before you purchase if this is a problem for you too.
