these notebooks are fantastic- very low price and handy to keep on hand- get one of each color for all the things you have to keep track of.

We got these notebooks only .17 cents at our local store! Love them! They are perfect for our homeschool!

Standard School Supply

The great thing about these as that they can be put into binders and if they have perforated sheets as well it's great for being able to hand the individual sheets into the teachers instead of having to purchase regular looseleaf paper as well (where almost always the pages get ripped in the binders).

Just what is needed

I am so happy this year with Staples keeping the prices steady. This certainly makes it affordable for families. This notebook is perfect for the younger grades. At this price it makes is easy for me to send in a few extra to help the teacher out if a child needs a replacement.

Better colors stronger covers!

I am a high school teacher. I looked at spiral notebooks from several retailers. Each retailer had the same price of 17 cents but I decided to purchase at Staples because the quality of the product was better. The covers were thicker and more durable. I use notebooks for daily journal activities to improve writing skills and creativity. Kids who can write well do better at other things. I have my classes working in groups and Staples notebooks provided more color choices for my students.

One-subject spiral notebook

The Staples one-subject spiral notebooks are a bit disappointing. The sheets are thin and the perforations rip too easily. Suddenly pages that had been bound into the notebook are on the lam--somewhere. It is not easy to fasten them back into the notebook. The spiral wire does not stay closed at each end--the wire gets caught on other notebooks and other objects in general. The wire is thin and not as strong as some as because of that the notebook coil tends to get crushed in a backpack or when carrying a stack of text books. Even more disappointing was that although the cover color selection was good--more than at some competitors' stores --the only ruling available was wide-ruled not what I use. I use college ruled. I have seen this happen other years at Staples--only wide ruled is available at least on sale. The lowest price was more than at some other stores Therefore I bought most of the spiral notebooks I needed elsewhere.

The one subject notebooks are wonderful!!! I got about thirty of them over the past couple weeks my husband is back in school and my grandkids start 1st and 2nd grade in two weeks. My husband has already gone through two of them and my grandkids go back to school on th e twenty-fifth of this month and will be getting full use out of them. I will still be coming back for more school supplies this week. These notebooks are as good as any of the ones that you pay more fore just saved me a ton of money!!!
