Just got them, I need to use them for a while. They seem very sturdy. Afraid to use metal utensils, as I’ve not ever used or bought before for Nonstick cookware. Patterned after 40 years!
I had one of these skillets for years, it had no model name or number just said Circulon on the bottom. I couldn’t even remember where I had bought it, possibly Kohls or TJMaxx. It finally needed replaced and I started researching and I saw prices and they all seemed high, after doing much research, I purchased a granite skillet and I hated it! It doesn’t sear or cook evenly and the bottom never seemed clean. So I ordered another. Circulon, a Scratch Defense and I love it. Although it’s lighter weight than my previous model, it made a perfect grilled cheese, blackened chicken breast and pan seared butter basted filet with fantastic crust just like the one I owned previously. I’m so happy it has the grooves on the bottom. That was my favorite feature. I highly recommend.
I had the older Circulon pans and then ended up purchasing all of the hexclad pans. I've worked as a head chef before and could not get the Hexclad to do what they claimed. I spent 4 years not enjoying my pans and when I saw these, I literally boxed up the Hexclad and purchased the 11 pan set. I will never go back.
Great nonstick pan. It is amazing, I seared some salmon the other day, nothing sticks in the pan. I would recommend to anyone needing a nonstick frying pan. Worth the investment.
