1.7 Double Wall LED Kettle Boils Water Well
on November 20, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While the Hamiltton Beach 1.7 L Double Wall LED Kettle looks appealing, and does to a certain extent function optimally, looks are not everything. It certainly meets the standard in terms of heating water to boiling, and is easy and convenient to use, but it needs improvement.
The double wall has exterior plastic and interior glass; the spout is short, and it wobbles on the base, a bit too much for comfort. Even when filled to the line for maximum water content, and specifically adhered to, it still erupted when vigorously boiling to the point that it emitted water from the kettle, quite vociferously.
While wholly mesmerizing as it changes colors to convey boiling stages, it is noisy as it boils, lacks robust features such as a beep signal when finished, or type of hot beverage settings. It is a bit heavy and awkward to fill, as well.
But, the connecting cord is very solid and not at all flimsy, it has an appealing esthetic look, and it does what it intends to do: It boils water well.
That being said, I gave it a three star rating for functionality and looks. But it needs improvement to get to that pinnacle of five stars.

Rapid boiling and fun to watch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first electric kettle and it's perfect for my pour over routine every morning. I now understand why the rest of the world uses these exclusively for tea and coffee as this product works faster than I could hope and I can have 7 cups of boiling (rolling, full-boil) in under five minutes. The interior is glass and the exterior is plastic, and the exterior stays warm to the touch but will not harm you if you touch the exterior when it is boiling. And the 5 different light signals up to Red for boiling are a great indicator of how hot the water is. Fast and fun to watch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this electric kettle and would definitely buy it again. The appliance has a sleek modern appearance. It is easy to use, heats up efficiently, and takes up very little space. I always trust Hamilton Beach products. It will be a great gift for my tea drinking grandson, who is headed for college soon.
