I got an oura ring to make use of my Natural Cycles menstrual cycle tracker app easier. I used to measure my temperature every morning orally with a thermometer, and now the oura ring does this whilst I'm sleeping. Oura and Natural Cycles connect pretty seamlessly. I have really got into my sleep data as well. It's been fascinating learning how my nighttime routine affects my resting heart rate, for instance. I never wear it during the day for fear of damaging the sensors. I want to extend the longevity of the hardware as far as possible. And I don't enjoy knowing how many calories I burned in a day, or whether I should be more or less active in any given moment. I am grateful to oura for the knowledge it has given me about my body
Complete waste of money if you don't take out the subscription - even though the ring was expensive in the first place. I'm annoyed that this was not made clear when I bought it
I absolutely love my Oura ring! I’m a psychotherapist and high performance coach and recommend that ALL of my clients use them. I wish you had an affiliate program!
Brilliant product to help track basic bodily functions, exercise, and periods. Love the readiness scores and the fact the ring is low EMF. Even though a bit chunkier than regular jewellery I’d buy, it is still sleeker than fitness watches. Def recommend!
The ring itself is OK though a bit big for me as a woman with skinny fingers. I was really excited to get this but the amount of information delivered in the app, though customized, is really not as detailed as I had expected: the graphs for Readiness, Sleep, and Activity scores show daily data points but I can’t see individual readings, like I can in Apple Health. There’s also a graph of heart rate but none of the graphs have a vertical scale that’s detailed enough to make out exact values so I have to just eyeball it and be satisfied with seeing the trend. I understand it’s possible to access the more detailed readings if I go log in via my computer, but I can’t be bothered to try to go through raw data on my own when there are health and sleep apps for my Apple Watch that do all of that for me and present it in with clearer graphics. All in all, given the high price of the ring AND the monthly subscription cost, I don’t feel I’ve gotten good value for the money. But since I’ve invested so much in it, I’ll stay in and hope that future updates of the app will provide more granular data, and better representations of that data.
