The new Alpha 7R VI is a fantastic camera - there are so many great new features especially for astrophotography and fast action wildlife. Ut takes all the best features of the A1 II and A7 V and packages them up with some awesome other new things like autofocus for astro, illuminated buttons, better battery. The 10 fully customisable memory modes is a GAME CHANGER!

Great Camera

Huge step up from the A7RV. Higher sensor read-out speed, 30fps, improved AF, pre-capture, higher resolution for cropping. With the A7RV, there were some bird photos, like bird in flight, I wouldn't even try to take. Now I am enjoying taking photos of stationary birds and those in flight.

The A7RVI is simply outstanding. The huge file sizes combined with the best autofocus on the Planet, and improved dynamic range make this camera a delight to use. I have several Sony cameras, but the A7RVI has become my goto camera. I find myself reaching for this before my A1ii.

it's honestly brilliant!!
Photos are incredibly sharp and detailed without even trying, and the autofocus just locks on and doesn't let go, whether I'm shooting the kids, the dog, or just stuff around the house. It's fast enough to catch anything moving, the stabilisation means I rarely get a blurry shot even shooting handheld in low light, and the battery lasts way longer than I expected.
The screen and viewfinder are both really nice and bright too. It's a big investment but if you want one camera that just does everything well, this is it. No regrets.
Paired this with a 24-70mm and a 70-200mm and cant be happier with the setup, the A7RVI came just at the right time i was about to pull the trigger on an order and ended up going with this over my original choice, don't regret the purchase one bit and look forward for many years of use.
