I received the Gen 2 Sonos soundbar as a gift and just hooked it up to my TV. I had an old Samsung soundbar and I'm telling you, there is no comparison. The sound fills my family room which has an 18' ceiling. I love that it is now compatible with Alexa, my phone or the TV remote. I had a Sonos speaker in the family room but have now moved that to the dining/kitchen area because the new soundbar will now fill up the family room. I can run one or two speakers with music from any source I choose. This is a wonderful speaker.

Finally purchased a Sonos Beam. (Had been waiting for the death of an ancient Bose 3-2-1, to no avail.) Beam is EZ to set-up, sound is rich. We can listen to music apps & control the volume of the TV & other apps from our phones. We shouldn't have waited so long to purchase! Will be adding the Sonos subwoofer soon. Sonos support: Outstanding!!

We have a relatively small but open (2-story ceilings) living area and I had all but stopped watching TV because the sound using the TV speakers was so bad. And while the house has built-in speakers in the ceiling, they were not usable for the TV and they did not produce very good sound for music listening either. I went with the beam over the Ray because I wanted the HDMI Arc connection; and Beam over Arc because we just don't have a large room. Our current TV is not equipped with HCMI Arc but we are building a new home and will be getting a new TV; so we can upgrade the connection then. I purchased 2 Era 100 speakers along with the Beam (great holiday sale!!) so I could setup surround sound. I have to say, I am very impressed with the ease of setup and the sound quality. I enjoy watching movies again. I can hear the dialog without having to crank the volume. It was super easy to connect my iPhone and enjoy music. Sonos also has music channels which are pretty good as well. I highly recommend the Beam. The mounting kit was also super easy and works great! Thanks Sonos for a great experience.
