Sonos sets itself apart by making their devices seamlessly easy to set up and use even when pairing with other brands' devices. I'm no technology expert and I had this up and running as a soundbar on my new Sony Bravia 7 tv in no time. Seamless single controller use. I originally bought a Beam Gen 1 for my LR TV and later a SUB Gen-3 When I upgraded the BR TV the Gen-1 moved there. The Gen-2 is the same as G1 but Atmos support has been added and a better front Grill. With audio swap for Beam G1 & G2, I can now use ACE for personal listening; but remember to enable WiFi on the beam it is needed for audio swap
