Good sound, but...

Swapped out my surround system for the Beam. I thought it would be a one for one, but it's definitely not. I had to reconfigure my Sonos system to setup surround using Play One's from different areas in the house. The Beam alone is not up to the task of replacing an existing surround system. I wish I had known that when I bought it. I'm happy now that I moved some things around, but it didn't meet my initial expectations.
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Expandable, Streams All My Music, and More, Wireless
Cons: Poor Sound Quality

At first, when looking at the product, I thought it would be hard to set up, but it was easy. The sound is GREAT!
Pros: Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Superior Sound

Best Christmas present ever. Changed my TV viewing to where I actually love watching movies at home now. Sound is incredible.

Use for sound during TV watching.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Difficult to Use, Poor Sound Quality, Sound is shallow supposed base notes horrible, Sound stops & is garbled at times, Unreliable

Love the sound. Friggy that I can't play directly from apps, and frustrated that some apps (YouTube for example) can't be played at all when your and Android user. I am on the fence about recommending this device just because of connectivity.

Set up Sonos1 Gen 2 in living room and the sound presentation is like sitting orchestra at a broadway show. Great clarity and good base.
