Great connectivity. Good improvement over built in tv speakers. Works well with existing tv remote. Sound is somewhat disappointing at this price point.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Versatile
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sonos Arc is hooked up to the TV. Enhances the sound from the smart TV for a great movie experience.
Pros: Different Music, Different Rooms, Easy to Set Up, Free Control Options, Streams All My Music, and More, Superior Sound, Wireless

Easy connection to the TV, and much better sound than 'factory' standard built into the TV. Clear, crisp music and much better clarity on dialog.

Amazing sound!

So pleased with our Beam Gen 2! The sound is amazing and Speech Enhancement is just what our aging ears need. Incredible engineering to create sound that surpasses our old Bose 321 system without an external subwoofer. It is even working with the ARC/CEC on our 2010ish TV so our Roku remote runs it all. Absolutely happy with our first Sonos!

I set it up with a tv used primarily for movies. I paired it with 2 Play Ones for some decent surround sound without the need for purchasing a new receiver. It sounded very good except it needed to work hard to produce the bass at the expense of other sounds. By adding the Sub-Mini this problem was resolved. Very happy with the set up now.

The sound is excellent and very much as I expect from a Sonos product. The one "hitch" I have is that I cannot get my remote to control the sound. I have a Firestick and my Beam is connected to the Samsung TV's optical port. In the setup process, the normal steps don't work. When the volume up button is pressed, the Beam does not recognize the signal. I have yet to find a solution.
Cons: Difficult To Setup
