I have the Beam Gen 2 and the mini sub and it's outstanding ! I have 9 feet ceilings and the room is open concept so I was concerned about the acoustics but no worries the dialogue is clear and the sub woofer is intense so I'm really pleased with what I purchased !
Pros: Superior Sound, Wireless Surround Sound

Perfect for my new OLED TV. No subwoofer but excellent base. I tuned it to my room, enhanced the voices, diminished the explosions, and boosted the quiet sounds. What a great speaker and app.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use, Night Mode, Speech enhancement, Superior Sound

Using it with new Sony tv mainly to improve the audio, especially speech. Audio is somewhat improved but not enough to keep me from returning the sound bar.
Pros: Easy To Setup, Easy to use

Sonos Android software is a buggy mess and my Beam suffers

The state of the Google Play app is atrocious and has been for more than a year. You can look there at the recent reviews and decide if this company is focusing on creating a great experience or just ignoring the reality. I have invested thousands in Sonos and regret it given how bad the app experience is. They clearly ignore the app store reviews once you made the purchase, so I think it's important to review the hardware I bought so consumers know what they are in for. There is no way to interact with these devices without their shoddy apps. I own a beam, multiple amps, outdoor speakers, in ceiling speakers, and a shelf speaker. Be forewarned.

The sound is awesome

The first time I used my Beam Soundbar, instead of watching a TV show I listened to music and before long an hour had passed. I was extremely impressed with the depth and quality of the sound from the unit.
