I had the original blade for almost 2 years.
I hit a few rocks and sidewalks so it was definitely time to change it. The new one gets the job done as expected.

Works great! First time I installed it there was a bit of a vibration when going at an angle in my yard. I took it off, cleaned off the all the contact points for the blade and it’s accessories, and it works like a charm. Admittedly, I had waited 6 years without replacing or sharpening my blade. And in that time I had managed to hit the blade on bricks several times. So my bar was pretty low, but the new blade made mowing even my overgrown lawn a simple task. So much easier to cut through, and the lawn was much greener now that the grass is being cut rather that whacked.

Remove as many rocks as possible from the area to be mowed. This avoids damaging equipment, and potentially throwing rocks that could injure people or damage property.
