This toaster does the trick. It converts even the flabbiest slices of bread into toast. No fancy settings, which is exactly what a toaster should be.

Quite happy so far though a niece had the same toaster and said it didn’t last long with elements burning out. I especially like the extra “rise” feature to allow smaller that usual toasted items to rise to where they can be handled…and also the extra wide slots for bagels. The “max” setting, too, gives me the very dark toasting that I like. And a minimum of effort is required to lever down the items.
