Soda Stream

Hi there. I love the Soda Stream. I actually bought a second one for my office at work. The only thing I am confused about is the syrup bottles. The initial bottles I got had a cap that had a measuring line. The new style just have a flip lid with no way of measuring. Thoughts?

I don't understand people's complaints about cleaning these bottles. I've been using my Soda Stream for 10+ years and i've never had a problem cleaning the bottles by hand with soap and hot water. Get a bottle brush. The bottles are terrific and have helped me reduce costs for bubbly water, reduce waste, and reduce my aluminum exposure. I'm ordering my second set of replacement bottles (they last 5-ish years, I think?) and will recycle the old ones.
