The House Blend is a balanced dark roast blend providing stark greeting on the from with full rich flavor with oaky and caramel notes and mellow backend with a hint of acidity at the edges. I use an espresso grind for the coffee and a flood fill drip that works much like a French press. An excellent coffee that settles the soul like a a warm blanket and a conversation with an old friend.

I was a dedicated French Roast fan and almost hesitated to try something else though the helpful Peet's rep suggested that I might like the House Blend--and I love it. House Blends from other brands have typically been medium roast and kind of middle of the road for broad appeal so this was an extremely pleasant surprise!
