Difficult setup
on January 19, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it vacuums, it does a good job. Initial setup is difficult, and even after creating a map, you need to calibrate it every now and then which is annoying. Never completes the job in its estimated time. One time it took 6 hours to just vacuum one bedroom when estimated time was 14 minutes. Keeping bumping into same things repeatedly. Haven’t been able to use the mopping functionality yet. Battery runs fast. Perhaps there’s a learning curve.

Yet another device that wants to be wifi connected
on January 2, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With no readily available MAC address and an unnecessary need to be connected to the internet and know your location, this vacuum is more complicated than necessary. At my house, we use MAC address filtering whitelist to only allow approved devices to connect. I will NOT remove this filter for a vacuum cleaner. You can still kind of use it without connecting, but you must manually start it using the button on top of the unit. Now, on to the maneuverability, this thing got completely stuck in my kitchen, a better design would either have a way of preventing going down a ledge it cannot climb back up, or a mechanism to deal with a rise. The cleaning it was able to do I have no complaints over, but why should I have to connect a vacuum to WiFi or babysit a vacuum that’s supposed to be able to run on its own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rooms is as advertised. I don’t know how much I will actually use the mop function as it doesn’t seem to mop too well. This is mostly automated through the app which is pretty easy to use.

Gets the job done well!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Roomba vacuum and mop combo is awesome and exactly what my family needed! You can set it on a schedule and monitor the app on your phone. I cannot believe how much dirt and hair it vacuums up daily! The mopping function is the best part! With 3 teenagers that spill and think they've wiped up well enough, this comes along and cleans it all up! It leaves no streaks on my kitchen tile floor and leaves it clean!!! My wife fills the small reservoir on the mop pad and dumps the vacuum out daily, but it is well worth the minute that takes, instead of dragging out the mop and bucket to do the same job daily. We love it!! The convenience is amazing! No issues with it at all, it is quiet and dependable, and always finds its way back to the charging base after doing a great job! We can't, and won't, live without it now! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Efficient for hard floors, but struggles with rugs
on December 23, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the iRobot Roomba 208 DustCompactor Combo in a ~600 sq ft apartment, and overall it performs well for routine maintenance cleaning, with a few limitations worth noting. The onboard dust compactor is genuinely useful, it compresses debris effectively, which means I don’t have to empty the dust bin after every run like I did with older robot vacuums. For vacuuming alone, it handles hardwood floors well and consistently picks up dust, crumbs, and light pet hair.
The combo vacuum-and-mop function is convenient for daily upkeep. On a full mopping cycle, the water tank is sufficient to clean my entire apartment twice before needing a refill, which is impressive. That said, after about two full home cleanups, the water does need to be replaced to maintain proper mopping performance.
Navigation is mostly reliable, but not flawless. I’ve noticed the robot struggles to climb onto area rugs from hardwood floors, especially when the rug has a thicker edge. It also got stuck a couple of times between chair legs, even when there appeared to be enough clearance for it to maneuver out on its own. These situations required manual intervention, though they weren’t frequent enough to be deal-breakers.
Setup was straightforward, and once mapping was complete, the robot followed a logical cleaning path. Overall, the Roomba 208 is a solid option for smaller apartments where hands-off maintenance cleaning is the goal. The dust compactor significantly reduces how often the bin needs to be emptied, while the mopping function is efficient for light, regular cleaning, just don’t expect flawless obstacle navigation or strong rug-climbing capability.

Thorough clean with highly customizable routines.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this complimentary product to review. This Roomba was simple and straightforward to assemble. The setup was a little bit of a learning curve as far as map customization goes, but after a few tries you'll get the hang of it. The adjustable suction levels for vacuuming are very helpful. You can choose a higher suction for a deep clean, or a medium to light suction for a quiet touch up. The mopping feature was easy to use. I remove the mop pad when not in use, because I did not want moisture on the carpet. It is easy to adjust routines for just the right level of clean in the rooms that need it. I loved how thorough of a clean this provided, going under furniture, into corners, and underneath cabinets and other hard to reach places. I would definitely recommend this to family and friends. I will continue to use it frequently even after this review.

The iRobot Roomba 208 Dust Compactor Combo is a so
on December 20, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The iRobot Roomba 208 Dust Compactor Combo is a solid upgrade for anyone looking to simplify everyday floor cleaning. The vacuuming performance is strong on hard floors and low-pile carpets, picking up dust, crumbs, and pet hair with ease. The built-in dust compactor is a great feature—it reduces how often I need to empty the bin, which is very convenient.
The mop function works well for light cleaning and maintenance, especially in kitchens and entryways. It handles everyday spills and footprints nicely, though it’s not meant for deep scrubbing of stubborn stains. Navigation is generally smart and efficient, with good coverage and minimal missed spots.
I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the app can occasionally lag, and the mop feature could use a bit more water control for tougher messes. Overall, it’s a reliable, time-saving combo robot that keeps floors consistently clean and is well worth it for busy households.

Great Hands-Off Vacuum
on December 20, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Roomba 208 is a great entry-level robot vacuum that brings everyday floor cleaning into the realm of “set it and forget it” convenience. It handles common debris like dust, crumbs, and pet hair well across hard floors and low-pile rugs, giving you noticeably cleaner floors without the daily chore of manual vacuuming. The app connectivity lets you schedule cleanings, adjust preferences, and control the robot from your phone, which really adds to the ease of use. Being able to automate routine cleanups makes it a smart addition for busy homes or anyone who’d rather skip regular sweeping. The app is easy to set up and the initial scan of the room is simple. The mopping combo is a nice feature but doesn’t replace manual cleaning but for hardwood surfaces. Overall, this is a great machine and I recommend it.
