Biometrics rarely work, reset multiple times. No deformity on thumb. It just hardly works when unlocking the phone but it works perfectly fine for the apps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great phone for my use

I'm old and tired of reasearching things to death. I bought this phone on sale. Purchased the monthly warranty (I've had great luck with warranty in the past). The OtterBox, screen protector and Google pixel 2a ear buds for free with the warranty purchase. So basically got set up for under $800 bucks for a new phone. Got the chatr plan for 25 bucks a month with 20 gigs of data a month. I usually use about max 4 gigs a month. I had a pixel 7 previous and this phone is literally 10 times better. The differences between the pixel 10a and 10 were so negligible for my use I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Transferring my data from one phone to the other was done via wireless and wired connection and took about 20 minutes. It was a seamless transition. Just remember MMS group chats will transfer but won't work properly and you will need to be deleted by the administrator and re-added, not just editing your phone number. The battery life is good, the settings are a bit more convenient. I've had zero hiccups after two weeks of solid use.
I would recommend this to a friend!
