I purchased my bed direct from Tempur-pedic and based on poor communication and slow delivery/set up, I should have purchased the bed from a local retailer.
I literally spent months shopping and reading reviews on mattresses. I was determined to get a great mattress so I could start getting a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, I spent over $3,000 on a full-sized TempurPedic mattress only to be very disappointed in it. I got the medium hybrid mattress. In the store it felt so very comfortable. The thing that I loved about it was it prevented pressure in my shoulders and hips. However, the mattress that I received is very, very firm. Way too firm for me even though I like a pretty firm mattress. I wake up during the night with sore hips. I'm still within 120 days of purchasing it so it's probably going to go back, but it's still very disappointing that I spent so much time, effort, energy and money on a mattress that is not comfortable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hesitated purchasing the power base because I thought I really didn't need it. Now, I am so happy I purchased the power base! It makes reading in bed, watching TV, and using my computer much more comfortable! The fact that I can raise and lower the head and foot of the bed either together or independently is a real plus!
I'm very light: 118 lbs, and I live alone. The bed moves so easy and creaks when I get in it. Legs are plastic. I can't imagine this is build to last. The adjustments are great, just know going in it isn't sturdy. And of course no idea how well the mechanical features will hold up. I've had it only one week.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The joy of getting into bed at night is magnified ten fold as I can read without killing my neck! I can float into a physically peaceful spot that relaxes my body I had a horrible cold and the elevation was a game changer. The best!
