Got this 2 weeks ago. I'm still in the learning curve. The watch (?) (actually computer) has a 60 page manual - it does a lot of things. I'm looking forward to learning more about it for health purposes. In the meantime, I'll work on golf.
I bought this almost one month ago along with the CT1 sensors. I used them just prior to a golf trip. The watch and the sensors worked quite well. The watch is intuitive and provides exactly what I need and reads well in the broad daylight. The sensors also worked well especially when making it a part of my shot setup routine to tap the sensor to the watch face. Even when I forgot, the watch prompted me to “tap” the club that I just used. I played 36 holes in one day and the watch had plenty of battery. I’m very pleased so far.
I bought this a couple months ago and needed time before I could review. Overall it is an awesome fitness/golf watch, way better than my Approach S 60 which died after a couple years. Hopefully I will get more longevity out of this one; Still haven't used some features such as green reading as I am an excellent reader and putter, but hope to soon
my previous Garmin golf watch kicked after 7 years. I switched to the S50 and it’s a great all around health monitor and excellent golf companion. it is not a substitute for a hand held laser for exact distance to the hole but for reliable info and to track stats then download to a phone or computer wirelessly, it’s great. I love the product. PS. make sure to wear it on your lead hand to get proper readings
I replaced my Garmin Approach S62 with a new Garmin S50. The screen is brighter, and the "glances" work well...just like my S62. But I have not gotten used to the Golf screens and do not like the screens of the holes as much as my S62. The screens on the S62 resembled the hole Inwas playing...particularly the hazards, like traps and water. The S50 screens appear to show the hazards as small circles or dots. Maybe I am still learning how to use the Golf feature, but I am not there yet.
