This is a good blender

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this blender. I don't love it. The main con is that it is extremely heavy and bulky. Having said that, the different settings on it are great. The smoothie setting is my favorite. It is easy to use, and clean up was quick and easy as well. It did take a little bit more time using frozen fruit, but that is to be expected. I would definitely recommend this blender to my friends and family. The push buttons are easy to understand. It also will auto power off, if you don't use it within a minute or two which is a good thing as well. Two thumbs up from my household, most definitely.

Powerful and Easy To Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach PowerMax Professional Performance Blender has exceeded all my expectations. It is powerful, easy to use, and easy to clean.
The base is incredibly light weight. The glass blender jar is a thick, sturdy glass. It is huge, easily accommodating large volumes. The bottom of the glass blender jar is quite wide, allowing for easy cleaning of blended items. The lid is remarkable. It has a removable filler cap to load up the blender jar, while the pour spout has a tight fitting lid. I was particularly impressed that the gearing in the base is all metal. Very nice.
After reading the operating instructions, I loaded up the blender jar with the ingredients for my favorite Chocolate fudge style cake. The blender jar easily held all the ingredients. I used the Pulse feature to get the mixture going, then blended on low for maybe a minute. The batter had a wonderful consistency. It was easy to pour out of the blender jar. Clean up was a breeze.
A very nice feature is the "instant power off" when you remove the blender jar from the base. When you are ready to blend, just press the power button again.
Salsa Fresca was snap to make. All the raw ingredients were dumped into the blender jar, and after 6 hits on the pulse button, the results were perfectly chopped and blended Salsa Fresca.
I used the PowerMax for making creamy, blended Carrot & Pumpkin Soup. It was so easy to dump one 16 oz. bag of baby carrots into the blender jar along with a cup of water and some onion pieces. A few presses on the pulse button, and 2 or 3 minutes with the Puree button, and the mixture was silky smooth. It was easy to pour and scrape out of the blender jar into a cooking pot for addition of other ingredients. And faster than ever before, I had creamy soup!
I've included some photos of the Chocolate Fudge Style Cake, Salsa Fresca, and the Carrot & Pumpkin Soup. You can see for yourself how very easy it was to use the PowerMax Blender. None of these recipes took more than a few minutes to mix up in the blender.
The design of the product is space saving and compact. It fits nicely on the counter, even in a very small kitchen. It is uncomplicated and easy to use, but at the same time very powerful. Even the power cord is long enough to fit in most spaces. My only wish would be to have the power cord retract into the base.
If you need a good blender that lives up to your expectations, definitely purchase the Hamilton Beach PowerMax Professional Performance Blender. You will be glad you did.

Not as good as I hoped.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have used the Hamilton Beach PowerMax to mix shakes. My husband makes a shake daily that includes walnuts for Omega 3's. However, he found that the nuts were not being pulverized. I suggested that he grind the nuts before he added the other ingredients, like you would for coffee beans in a coffee bean grinder. Using this method, the ground nuts were plastered on the sides of the container and not well mixed into the shake, even after a long blend.
I do like the glass container. I believe it wont scar like plastic containers.

Fantastic

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves smoothies and using this blender makes the smoothest smoothies with no chunks of unblended ingredients. It even perfectly blended a smoothie with an apple in it. I actually used to work in a smoothie shop so it takes a lot for a blender to impress me but this one definitely does. There are so many possibilities of things to make using the blender and I cannot wait until next summer to make strawberry margaritas!
The actual blender is easy to use with only a power button and 3 options for blending. Mix, puree and liquify. The dishwasher safe, glass jar is thick and heavy so I can't accidently break it. The jar also comes apart from the blade for easy cleaning. The lid needs to be pushed all the way down to be completely secured but once it's on there correctly it will never accidently pop off and create a mess. The lid also has a pour spout and is dishwasher safe.
This is such a fantastic blender. I definitely recommend it!

Sleek Powerful Blender

The front panel clearly indicates the speeds and capabilities to perform many functions. Although the blender is powerful, a longer vertical blade would enhance the frozen crushing capabilities. Overall a high performance blender.

48oz its big 3 blend options a must have

It has 3 diffrent blend options 1 mix and shake 2 puree icy drink (perfect for slushies) 3 liquify smoothie to turn ur frozen into liquid also a pulse button my fav shakes it blends so smotth and clean up is so easy this is a blender that has a strong blade and can hold 48oz its big but yet compact enough to not look bulky on the counter

Impressive power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blender is impressive. It has a sleek look and matches my other countertop appliances! I really like the sturdy glass pitcher and the lid is very snug. It has 3 powerful speeds plus a pulse button, which were simple to use. I made a milkshake using rock hard ice cream and it worked great using mix and puree and a few pulses.. Cleanup and reassembly after use were simple. This is a keeper for sure!
