I loved my SureColor P400 and am loving the upgrades on my P700. Things I especially like are how accessible the ink cartridges are and the touch screen for the settings. The photo prints are turning out beautifully. I would definitely recommend this printer.
Replace my Epson R3000 with the Epson P700 only because Epson no longer supports inks for the R3000. Had the R3000 for 10 years without any problems. I’m so happy that I can now print glossy or matte without having to switch out gloss or matte inks. Now all I have to do is tell the printer what paper I want to print on and it will choose the right ink. Thank you Epson for doing that upgrade.
Not very impressed. Would rather have my old R3000,

Not as good as either of my R3000’s. Both were workhorses. This machine is faster to print, but not as sharp. Paper handling is much less efficient. I feel like I spend all my time hovering over the machine trying to push the digital display just right to advance the job. The display is too stiff and not responsive.

VERY Disappointed!! My Stylus Photo R-3000 still works perfectly, yet you've discontinued the inks!!!! Hard to stay brand loyal with you guys.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So little ink offers at purchase, it was an insult. The printer prints quickly but it takes so long to start up, and every little button you must push, and there are many, takes more wait time. It can take 10 minutes or more to get to the actual printing. The next issue I have is how poorly, how tricky and tedious it is to load manual paper in the front feeder. I do a lot of fine art prints on heavy papers 350 gm or better. The manual feed process is a centre load, rather to the right edge, which my old R3000 required. It is easy, way to easy to not get the load quite right, and I am a very experienced printer. It is tedious and frequently fails, so you take even more time loading and reloading. Once you get to the actual print the quality is really impressive, beautiful prints. However, this machine really sucks down the ink. I am alarmed at how quickly the tiny tanks deplete. I live and work very remotely, so getting these very expensive inks in a timely way is very hard for me. I cannot understand at all why you made such tiny, expensive ink tanks for this fine printer. It is an insult to reason. I been using Epson printers for my work since around 1983. This is the first time I feel you guys have insulated me as a user.

When I'm able to get a print through, I'm happy very with the resulting image. But this printer's performance is really inconsistent. The back paper feeder is unreliable and I often need to feed sheets of paper through one by one. As I write this, it's taken me half an hour to print two 5x7 party invitations because it's taking me half a dozen tries for a single sheet to actually catch. And when it does, sometimes it sends the paper right out, sometimes it actually prints. It often get load paper errors when there is paper loaded. There are times when it works as advertised but overall I find this printer very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
