A Mouse Tailored to Your Liking

Many people play games on their PC’s and MMO’s like Warcraft are in that slot. I would also say that many use a keypad on the opposite hand and therefore rarely use the keyboard. The Scimitar has over a dozen programmable buttons you can remap to whatever you prefer and thus disable some as well if your usage style of handling a mouse requires picking it up off the mat every now and then. I do this so disabled the middle buttons and bottom middle buttons, which was very easy to do in the iCue software that allows you to set the mouse up and as well, assign specific lighting effects to it. In playing my games, including an ARGP, the mouse performs exceptionally well. I did have to get used to the placement of the side buttons and their size difference from my previous mouse, but after a few days, it is almost like I have been using it for years.
The performance can be tailored to your personal tastes, raise or lower the DPI to ensure that how the cursor responds when you move the mouse is what you expect. It is easy to hold, even with a medium to large hand size/grip, and the wheel moves freely and has a good feel when clicking down on it. As with all computer components, taking care not to be rough with them ensures a long lifetime of usage. I have used plenty of multi-button mice over the decades, and while Corsair’s Scimitar was my first from their line of multi-button mice, it is on par with other top brands as well. All in all, I think it is a good replacement from the previous one I had as it no longer has functioning driver software. I will now be using Corsair products for quite some time if this is any example of the quality of devices that they manufacture.
This mouse is always disconnected at start up of PC and the only way to fix it so far that works is to disconnect the mouse from the USB slot and then to plug it back in again to make it work.
The mouse quality is great, but the overall weight was too much for me and the shape is pretty large. I would recommend it if you have a big hand and like a heavy mouse. Ended up not for me and I bought a razer basilisk instead.
Nice mouse but mouse button touch feed back is to soft for my liking. I like more of a physical response feed back from mouse buttons. Other wise a good mouse.
As if having frequent double-click issues with Corsair mice isn't bad enough, they can literally brick themselves by having the firmware in the mouse corrupt by simply UNPLUGGING IT. I turn off my computer for a routine clean, power off on the PSU, then unplug everything. Clean my PC. Great! Turn it back on, greeted with "CRP DISABLD" and a firmware.bin file for my corsair mouse. Great. I've tried everything from using identical firmware from my husband's mouse (we use the same one currently.) & soft resetting it as per Corsair hardware (holding both clicks for 5s as plugging back in). Nothing has worked. Nor am I waiting a week to be handed more faulty firmware by a horrible support team.
These mice are prone to physical and software issues. My husband and I have been through 6 Corsair mice in the past 2 years. It's obscene. Corsair is good for keyboards, okay for headsets, but DO NOT BUY THEIR MICE! This one in particular has given me a ton of grief (we've been through 4 of these specifically).
The side buttons work great and you can slide the side buttons around to fit with your hand comfortably. The main thing holding this mouse back is the cheap plastic. Mine started to have double-clicking issues after about 3 months and the scroll wheel started having issues after 8 months. A good mouse isn't worth anything if it doesn't last.
Its comfortable and my hand sits well on it. I did have a slight problem how the right button didn’t fit properly during manufacturing or it got knocked while transport but I got used to it very quickly.
