[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What did you think of the 2-port foldable design? How convenient was this wall charger? What kinds of devices did you use it for? What did you think of the charger's ability to help prevent battery damage from overcharging? What did you like most about this wall charger? I really enjoyed the flexibility of the 2-port flexible design. It makes this my most favorite on the go charger as I can use it in my car as well as at my house and in the classroom. I have chosen to use it in the car for my son's iPad as well as an old iPhone that I use for maps and podcasts! I noticed that this charger does not make the phone or the iPad hot in least which always makes me more comfortable when using it - especially if I forget to unplug my device! Lastly I liked the fabric cord which I have never had before.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to give the Staples Single-Port Wall Charger with USB-C Lightning Cable a try to see if it really charged my iPhone and iPad faster than the other cables and it did.. I like a clean counter so I'm always looking for ways to hide or get rid of cables for electronics. I like the small plug & that if folds up easily. I gave it a 4 star because the plug is not as small as others. Also a few times when I plugged my phone in it kept dinging like the cable wasn't connected. I checked the connections and everything seems to be working fine now. The faster charging ability I love so will keep it.

It feels much studier than my old wall charger and the prongs conveniently fold if I want to throw it in my work bag. I love that it doesn’t take up the entire outlet when I plug it in and charges in a relatively fast amount of time (took my phone from half charge to 100% in 2 hours and an older tablet from 5% to 100% in about 3). I originally thought this would be my at home charger but I’ve found it’s compact size/fast charging mean I can use it on the go/at work for quicker results than I might need charging my phone overnight. Cons: It would have been great if the charger came with a charging cord however given that not all things I want to charge may have the same plug at the end of their cable it was just as easy for me to grab one I already had. Bonus: My last phone came with the cable and no wall charger so this was an easy pairing for me.

The folding prong design is nice and could be useful for travelling. My main gripe with it would be the size and orientation - because the prong has the unit situated vertically so it's can be difficult to plug other things into the same duplex unless the other plug is pretty small or horizontally oriented. The unit itself just seems bigger than it needs to be for 2 outputs. The quality is good charge speed seemed about normal and the unit seems solid. It does what I would expect of it for something pretty simple though there are smaller alternatives that I would generally travel with and that fit better with the limited plug space in the area where I usually charge devices.

Functional wall charger but needs some improvement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfectly functional wall charger with a handy "locking" feature that secures the socket prongs in both folded and unfolded positions. (You get a really satisfying click when you do it too. Like it is *delightfully* tactile.) The reason I didn't rate it higher is twofold: the thing's huge for what it does; and the packaging sucks. The charger's the size of my palm (see photo). I have other wall chargers with literally 3x the amount of ports for the same size. For a two-port wall charger it takes up a bunch of real estate. I could finagle it without blocking the other socket but it doesn't leave a ton of space -- so if you have a bigger plug you want to put into the same outlet as this thing reconsider. For the packaging you get a cardboard box that's 4x the size of the charger and don't worry it's got a huge insert of non-recyclable plastic too securing it in the center of the too-big box. It's needlessly wasteful packaging. I'd love to have seen it secured in the cardboard with at least another piece of cardboard so I could recycle all of it. I steer as clear as possible from single use plastic and it was frustrating to open paper and find plastic inside.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the tactile cloth-like feel of the cord of the charging cable and appreciated the little light on the charger so I knew it was plugged in and actively charging our iPad. The folding plug also means makes it slightly more compact for throwing in a bag. It would have been more helpful to have a USB plug directly into the charger so I can also charge our Android phones with the cables they come with. It seems to charge about as quickly as other chargers I own. There doesn't seem to be anything particularly different from this charger and the size is typical of other chargers which is why I am giving it 4 stars. I don't have any complaints - this is a simple straightforward charger.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do you have frustration with charging cords? I’ve had some good and bad experiences mostly with chargers not working unless you jiggle or twist the cord. This Staples Single-Port Wall Charger with USB-C to Lightning Cable is impressive. I used this to charge both my iPhone and iPad. It has a braided 3.3 foot cable that I appreciate for durability reasons. It has good support around the cable where it attaches to the base of the wall unit. That was important to me. It has a good amount of heft and doesn’t feel cheap. I like the foldable design and the blue light indicating that the phone is truly charging. It quickly charges the devices as expected. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a charger that they expect to last for a long time.
