Not so great

I order this thinking the quality would be pretty good given the general reviews. The product arrived with a dented corner outer package and the cabinet had a dent. So after some effort taking it out of the box and then putting it back in I had to return it to my local store But I did inspect the drawers to see how they opened and closed and was disappointed. The drawer gliders worked ok but not as smooth as my old file cabinet and the latching mechanism was somewhat defective since it took a lot of fiddling to get one of the drawers open. Because of this I did not want to order another one as a replacement even though perhaps this was not representative of the typical cabinet. I will look elsewhere. It is just too much effort to order again when on sale and then unpack it etc. I don't know why Staples does not carry this in their store. Would be easier to inspect and then buy.

As Advertised

Great household file cabinet fits perfectly in the closet in our home office. Fits all of our household files owner manuals and school paperwork. Arrived well-packed and wasn't damaged despite being delivered upside down. One drawer stuck a little at first but has loosened up perfectly after loading and use. Recommended! (Note that there is one lock for the whole cabinet; you can't lock individual drawers.)
