Well-built; sturdy; drawers slide in and out smoothly; installed lock is a plus; paint job is perfect; overall appearance is impressive; delivery was quick and painless in heavy cardboard packaging that guarded against any possibility of damage during shipment; fair price; an overall excellent value I would highly recommend this file cabinet to anybody who for whatever reason needs or wants to keep paperwork organized.

We bought 6 filing cabinets and all of the locks were different. I called customer service to see if we could get matching locks so we could just use 1 key for everything and I was told that Staples doesn't do that. So I had to go through a third party to get new matching locks. The quality of the cabinet is so-so. We have a couple Hirsh and Hon cabinets from years ago and those are built much more sturdy than these Staples cabinets. The metal seems thin and is very easy to dent. The drawers are a little bit janky too. They take a little force to get all the way shut. All in all we will buy more of these again since the price is right and we don't need heavy duty cabinets. If you need something more sturdy and want matching locks go with a little more expensive brand.

Arrived promptly in a driving rain storm. I was initally concerned with the possibility of water damage. But the file itself was wrapped in plastic.... nice extra step. The file cabinet is built well for the price. Draws work smoothly and the lock is effective. If I have any remaining concern based on the materials used would be its long term reliability. Probably OK but I will have to wait and see.

I had been shopping for a 2 drawer file cabinet and thankfully came across this one for 1/3 of the price! It's a perfect cabinet!
