I love this sander and use it frequently on alot of jobs. The only setback I have is when putting a higher AH Battery it then makes the sander a little bulky and heavier to use. I really don't mind it much but thats just an obvious added setback if you can call it a setback really. I imagine for an elderly person or younger person that it might pose an issue with a bigger battery but other than that I love it and live the variable speed selection. I actually have 3 of these sanders and am satisfied with the purchase and price of each one. I would definitely recommend to anyone in need of a durable solid sander that performs well.
I received a DeWalt Combo set that included the 20V Max XR Sander for Xmas from my wife. It works great for about 2-4 minutes then it abruptly shuts down. If I remove the battery (which is very difficult to do), and blow out the contacts, it works for a few more seconds. Love the rest of the set...
bought this sander a while back for multiple DIY projects and it's been awesome! The Variable speed is very useful and the size is very convenient. battery life isn't bad either honestly not much bad I can say about this tool. 10/10 would reccommend!
Bought this to sand down doors to be repainted, works great, comfortable in my hand. The only complaint is the balance of it when you put your battery on because it adds weight to the back, but that is to be expected.
I've been using this sander for a few days now. I was AMAZED that it seemed just as powerful as the corded version I bought years ago! Well built and very ergomical. I was worried that the battery would get in the way or just add too much weight. I was extremely satisfied with regard to both. I'd definitely buy it all over again, given the chance!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love this sander. also have a corded sander for a couple of years. don't like the proprietary dust port. the rubber pad is also weak, went through 2 in a short time on the corded model
