[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it very much! I'm disabled, and the locking of the bowl is a bit difficult for me, but once I get it everything is great! I was especially impressed with the dough hook. I didn't think it would really do a good job kneading as opposed to old fashioned hand-kneading, but it did great!

Sent damaged unit, no customer support.

I purchased refurbished because it was advertised as “unused or lightly used” and “like new” condition. As soon as I opened the box, I knew something was wrong. The top of the mixer looks like someone took a knife to it. I reached out immediately and was told to call. When I was finally able to reach someone, he talked to me like I was stupid. He said since it’s refurbished, there’s nothing they can do about “cosmetic damage.” I don’t mind a little ding, but big gouges isn’t “like new.” He finally told me I could return it, but it would take 5 to 6 weeks to process a refund, and then I could repurchase at a higher price as they would not honor the coupon I used originally. It’s insane that they can send a product that looks like somebody intentionally damaged it, expect you to go through all the trouble of shipping it back to them, wait for weeks, and then pay more money for the same unit, hoping it isn’t also extremely damaged. Then, he had the audacity to try to upsell me to a different model. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever received in my life. I’ve been devoted to KitchenAid for decades, but since I can’t count on them to fix issues like this, I’ll have to switch brands.

Must have for GF bakers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used hand held mixers all of my life. This is a must have for those gooey gluten free cake and dough recipes. The GF cake mixes were traveling up my hand held beaters and getting inside the attachment holes making clean up difficult. It is large enough to hold a double batch and likely up to a quadruple batch (I haven’t tried that yet). It frees up my hands so I can work on other parts of the cooking process. For example I can measure more ingredients while the mixer creams the sugar. I can prep the pan while the mixer is working. I avoided buying one due to lack of cabinet space. I leave on the counter. It looks nice and marches my kitchen decor.
