I LOVE this mixer! Ten to fifteen years ago I received a KitchenAid Classic as a gift. I absolutely loved it, but recently decided I needed something just a little bigger. So I bought the refurbished 5.5 quart bowl-lift stand mixer. It is like brand new. I enjoy having a larger bowl and the handle on the bowl makes it easy to handle when pouring batter into my cake tins. It is also easier to scrape the sides of the bowl because it is larger. As for my Classic…it still works like new so I am giving that to my granddaughter as she loves baking as much as I do. KitchenAid certainly makes a quality product! I would recommend any of their products.

Got this for my daughter. Delivery was as stated. It starts the stops. She was on the phone about 1 1/2 hour to get it returned. The return stock was limited so she had to up grade to a new one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this as refurbished which is great since you can get it at a lower price and even though the warranty isn't as good, I feel comfortable that it has been gone through and will last and it looks brand new. I have used this a few times for making bread dough and I love it. I love the color and the texture is nice. I had ordered one in the Ice color and it was shiny and slick, but then I got this one in the Mineral Blue and even though it's not shiny it's got a texture to it that I like. The only thing is that it's hard to find accessories for the 5.5 quart. Lots for the 4.5 to 5 qt but not so much for this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my dream KitchenAid in a beautiful light blue color about a month ago. Overall, I really like it! So far, I’ve used it to make pizza dough and creams for cakes, and it worked perfectly. However, I’m quite disappointed with the mixing bowl. I’ve always hand-washed it carefully, but after soaking it for about an hour once, strange stains and dots appeared that I can’t remove. Now the bowl looks worn and damaged, as if it’s been used for years or exposed to harsh chemicals, even though I only use gentle, non-harmful cleaning products.
I’m really sad and didn’t expect this kind of quality from such a trusted brand.

I have made bread dough one two occasions and had zero issues. The mixer handled the dough with ease. It runs quietly and did not have any movement while kneading. And the color…gorgeous! I was leery getting a refurbished machine, but I can’t even tell that it is not brand new. It came in perfect shape. Very pleased with this purchase.
