I bought this sound bar for its compact size and price. Certainly an improvement over the sound from my TV's speakers. But i find it really lacking in base sound and not sure I am able to boost the base even following the Bose instructions on how to do that. Of course a separate base module is available, for double the cost of this speaker. Switching to dialogue mode does give the TV sound more clarity. I also use it to play music via Bluetooth which is okay. For some reason I thought I would be able to play music via Bluetooth using this Bose TV Speaker AND my portable Bose Micro Soundlink speaker at the same time. Apparently that is not feasible, as I can only play music over one or the other. All in all an improvement over what I was using.
My 10 yo Bose Solo was no longer working so I tried this one as a replacement. It is smaller but still puts out sound that is impressive. I like that it powers up on it’s own when the tv is on and also find the dialogue button helpful (both improvements over the Solo I had previously). The optical cable is also more substantial than on the Solo. This arrived quickly and was greatly appreciated after suffering through the adequate at best sound coming out of my 40” flat screen tv for a couple of months.
We’ve always had Bose products. The quality is exceptional. From surround sound systems to outdoor speakers we’ve been happy with every purchase. Thank you for making a quality product.
I had a different sound bar that I originally purchased because one of the reviews said it outperformed the Bose sound bar, especially its ability to enhance dialogue. Never again. The Bose sound bar is far superior. No more closed caption. Thanks Bose.
I bought to use with a Samsung QLED TV. The cable that came with the speaker did not work. I ended up having to use bluetooth. Every time I turn the TV on I have to connect the bluetooth for the speaker to work and it is always blasting loud that I have to turn the speaker volume down very quickly so not to disturb the rest of the house. The TV is in a bedroom and this process each time I turn the speaker on is very annoying. I would just like to turn the TV on and have everyting work with one remote. Unfortunately the remote with the TV and the Xfinity remote will not pair with the speaker.

Hi Tara,
I'm sorry that the cable that came with the speaker is not working. I'd recommend testing another optical cable or using a HDMI cable. If you use HDMI, this will also help with using only one remote control. Your TV will need to support HDMI ARC/e-ARC for you to be able to connect in this way. We do not recommend connecting through Bluetooth for video audio.
